I spent ages trying to make up my mind how I wanted to decorate my market stall, until one day recently my travels took me past the most adorable little shabby chic style shop in the city. I must have walked past it a hundred times at least over the years, and never really paid it much attention before.

But fortunately, this day I did. And as soon as I walked through the door I knew - shabby chic it had to be. :)

I ended up spending three days searching around for this lot, and I couldn't be happier with my spoils. I just adore this old stuff.

Not only have I ended up with a bunch of the most beautiful table decorations, but I now have some wonderful new photo props, that will be the centerpiece for a shabby chic style calendar that I'm going to create for 2010.

That's going to be my next big project - and I can't wait to get started on it! Designing and creating calendars is a heap of fun. I actually designed a couple quite some time ago, but never ended up doing anything with them at the time. With a bit of a rework and some updated numbers, I think they should do perfectly. I'm planning a desktop version, and a gorgeous big A3 wall calendar.

These old magazine racks are fantastic. They make the perfect holder for my prints. There are 3 gorgeous old trays (perfect for business cards and gift tags), a spice rack that now is home for handmade greeting cards, and pot holders that now are filled with bookmarks.

Trouble is, I got so carried away with buying, that I now have far too many pieces to fit on the two tables I have. Think I may need to buy another table - just so I don't have to leave anything behind on market day. :)
