I've finally started doing arts and crafts markets. This weekend I have two, and I'm keeping everything crossed for perfect spring weather! On Saturday, I'll be at the Warrandyte market, on the banks of the beautiful Yarra River. It's one of my favourite places. My dogs and I spend a lot of time here, especially in the summer months. It's a wonderful place to stroll along the riverbank and renew your soul.
On Sunday, I'll have a stall at the Trentham Spring Festival, which I am very excited about. Blumin Sandy will be there too. Sandy Cummins has a beautiful organic floral business in Trentham. We met on Twitter about a month ago, and I drove up to her gorgeous little town to meet her last week. She is a joy - and it was undeniably one of those meant-to-meet kind of situations. Come November, I will be getting together with Sandy to do a photo shoot with her beautiful roses, for a 2010 calendar idea that I have been mulling over. I bought a heap of beautiful shabby chic style props in early September, that I thought would double perfectly as props for my market table and for photo shoots. I think Sandy's beautiful old-fashioned flowers might just provide the perfect finishing touch.
